Kroogi is 1 year old!
Exactly a year ago we announced the birth of the Kroogi project (http://Kroogi.com). I felt like a little kid, standing up in front of a crowd to recite a poem. We started the alpha version in Russia with the help of our Russian, indie rock star friends. Then, some European folks joined our team, and now, as of several weeks ago, we are on the American market.

For all means and purposes, the Kroogi-baby is a healthy and happy one year old toddler. It learned to crawl, pulls on the cat's tail, has a good appetite and soils its diapers regularly. Like any baby, it continues to grow.

In its one year of existence, Kroogi has brought together a refined community of users: creators, and their connoisseurs. The website is filled with intellectual music, bad-boy literature and trippy pictures and videos.

Like father, like son. Like mother, like motherfucker.

But most importantly, we're beginning to see the emergence of a new economy model, one that states, "Enjoy what you want and pay what you think it's worth."

The goal is to establish a new way of connecting creativity and reward- not by means of pre-payment and transactional inevitability, but through gratitude and the desire to give and support. The emphasis then falls on creating, instead of selling, which only improves the creative process.

This is what we wanted to bring to life, and we're very happy about our success.

But we have something important to tell you:
The more people that use Kroogi, the better. The better the system works, the better possibilities there are for artists to create, and the better we can enjoy what they've created.
