New to Kroogi: Big Sky
With a sound that matches their name, Big Sky is a band that plays rock music beyond anything described as classic. Their standard lineup of bass, guitars, vox and drums is ornamented with the khoomei throat-singing and flute work of Steve Sklar and Johnna Morrow. These Minneapolis musicians are also a part of the project Overtone Orchestra, as well as their own solo ventures.
Their 12-track album
"Standing on This Earth" is now available on Kroogi. Along with the regular band, guests David Stenshoel, Martin Stovall, Sam Brooks, and Scott Anderson are featured on selected tracks.
